Administrative Associate, Department of Theatre University of Tennessee Health Science Center – 4.0 Chattanooga, TN Job Details Full-time $40,000 – $41,000 a year 7 hours ago Qualifications Theater Adobe Photoshop Management Social media management Mid-level Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree Theater 4 years Full Job Description The Administrative Associate supervises and executes complex administrative and clerical duties in the support of the Department of Theatre and the Fine Arts Center. Administrative duties include the preparation of reports, letters, documents, budgets, reconciliation of ledgers, generation of financial reports, and maintenance of departmental operating and functional procedures, including scheduling of programs and spaces. Daily Activities Maintains production/event calendars for Theatre; keeps files in order and available; answers phone, and departmental emails and any mail directed to the department; maintains office materials and inventory; reconciles expense reports; maintains the Department’s shadow ledger; helps with registration of new programs and software; and maintains computer programs and departmental announcements and social media accounts. Accounting Maintains departmental financial accounts; reconciles expense reports; keeps record of all financial transactions; maintains departmental shadow ledger(s); audits procurement card transactions for compliance with policy; generates financial reports including, but not limited to, budget reports, expense reports, and estimated balance reports; inputs payroll records; assists with travel requests; assists with scholarship awards; and provides redundancy for the box office manager. Productions Obtains rights for theatre productions; assists with social media and print marketing; and organizes reception and special event food/catering.
Salary Range:
$40,000-41,000 Review of applications will begin July 1, 2025 and continue until the position is filled. Applications received by this date will receive priority consideration. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and four years of relevant experience (administrative experience). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and experience in theatre/arts management; social media management and Photoshop skills.
