Position Summary:
This position supports college-wide retention strategies by coordinating student success initiatives, supervising part-time staff, and managing the implementation of Navigate. It provides training for faculty, staff, and students on the Navigate platform and supports ongoing usage, including orientation and student engagementmunications. The role includes managing a student caseload across campuses through in-person coaching and mentoring, with special attention to students on academic probation or returning from suspension. Additionally, the position supports athletic teams with Navigate training and tools to monitor academic progress, travel documentation, and study hall activities.
Essential Functions:
35% Assist the Director, Stay Strong Success Center, and First-Year Experience director in developing student success strategies and initiatives in support of Pellissippi’s student-retention priorities.
Leverage EAB/Navigate (Higher Ed. Retention and Case Management Platform) as the campus-wide technology platform for improving student retention and student success efforts:
Coordinate deployment of two major academic notification campaigns each semester for nearly 3,000 students.
Train new Navigate360 users (faculty, staff, and peer mentors).
Create Navigate360 training guides, resources, and manuals.
Leverage Navigate360 tools to coordinate Student Orientation’s marketing, advertising, and promotions via email, text, campaigns, push notifications, To-Dos, and homepage banner announcements.
Coordinate registration for all orientation events, manage Navigate Kiosk registration for event-day check-in, and track attendance/experience data.
Administrate text campaigns, push notifications, Kiosk registrations, data management, data analysis, survey building, etc. Train coaches and other athletic personnel on using Navigate features to facilitate the management of student-athletes academic progression and performance.
30% Execute existing academic support plan for assigned students: such as first-time first-year, part-time, adult learners, low-ie and first-generation students.
Assess the specific needs of assigned students across all five campuses
Assist students in identifying their personal support system: faculty/staff/peer mentor, services, resources, and referrals.
Assist students with core academic and support processes (admissions, financial aid, scholarships, major/degree information, etc.) and make appropriate referrals.
Support re-entry pathways for students experiencing academic probation and suspension.
Conduct topical workshops (Small group, In-class, and Virtual)
Conduct 1:1 Coaching sessions (In-person and Virtual)
Monitor, track, evaluate, and report student success data
Plan and implement programming that supports student success. Through proactive and intentional academic and social support, develop meaningful relationships that foster social belonging among students.
Directly supervise Stay Strong Success Center part-time staff, and student employees.
15% Maintain accurate records of all student interactions in the EAB/Navigate 360 platform. Conduct Navigate appointment campaigns to facilitate student success for targeted student groups. lead the department’s overall data management/analysis efforts by effectively utilizing Banner, Argos, 25Live, Navigate 360, and Pelli-Biz, tools for operational support of the Stay Strong Success Center.
10% Support in the development of aprehensivecational orientation and transitional programming. This role oversees Pellissippi’s Comevo online orientation platform, managing content updates and creation in collaboration with campus partners to support effective student onboarding. Specifically, assist with the administration of new student onboarding through contextualized orientation sessions and wee events to the extent that the incumbent attends all such programs, whether on campuses or in themunity writ large.
5% Coordinate with the office of Marketing & Communications to create, edit and revise the Stay Strong Success Center’s marketing materials, , and orientation materials.
5% Other responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.

Required Experience:
