Headmaster 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 1079 Country Club Drive, McMinnville, TN 37110 Job Summary Leads the day-to-day functions of Covenant Academy, a private Christian school, under the direction of the Board of Directors. Promotes the school to prospective families and communicates with Board members, teachers, parents, and students. Makes personnel decisions related to hiring, retention, and dismissal of teachers and support personnel. Performs disciplinary actions according to the school handbook as needed. Maintains the school accreditation and evaluates curriculum. The Headmaster serves as the educational leader and chief administrator of the school, responsible for ensuring a safe and productive learning environment. This role involves overseeing all aspects of school operations, including curriculum development, staff management, student engagement, and community relations. The Headmaster will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the community to foster an atmosphere conducive to academic excellence and personal growth for all students. Duties Provide effective leadership and supervision to faculty and staff to promote a positive school culture. Manage daily operations of the school, ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations. Engage in public speaking to represent the school at community events and meetings. Oversee curriculum development to ensure alignment with educational goals and standards. Collaborate with teachers to implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning experiences. Assist the Board to develop and manage the school budget, allocating resources effectively to meet educational needs. Facilitate fundraising activities to support school programs and initiatives. Familiarity with budgeting processes in an educational context is beneficial. Knowledge of curriculum development practices to enhance instructional quality.
