Oxbow High School, located in the rural and vibrant community of Bradford, VT, serves as the receiving union school for the Oxbow Unified Union School District. We are proud to support students from two district elementary schools and are committed to developing a dynamic middle school program that ensures smooth academic and social transitions from elementary through high school.
We are seeking a passionate, visionary Middle School Principal to lead the next phase of our 7th and 8th grade evolution. We’re seeking a candidate with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the whole-child approach; has strong skills in communication, collaboration, and community partnership; and experience with MTSS, curriculum coordination. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a program that supports the whole student—academically, socially, and emotionally—while fostering a culture of growth, consistency, and sustainability for both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture:
Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate for staff and students.
Program Development:
Guide the ongoing development of our middle school program, focusing on effective transitions between elementary, middle, and high school.
MTSS & Curriculum:
Evolve Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) practices and assure a coordinated, rigorous curriculum.
Pathways Program:
Oversee and enhance our innovative Pathways Program.
Community Engagement:
Collaborate with families, local agencies, and the broader community to establish Oxbow as a true Community School—a hub for academics, workplace and project-based learning, STEM, athletics, theater, music, and the arts.
Whole Student Approach:
Partner with staff and community organizations to support academics, social services, youth development, and community engagement.
Compensation is provided in good faith and may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Final compensation may also be influenced by internal equity and market considerations.
