Elementary Teacher (K-6) 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 1900 Covenant Dr, Tuscumbia, AL 35674 Job Summary Covenant Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and spiritual development. The ideal candidate will create a Christ-centered, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the academic, emotional, and spiritual growth of each child. This role involves planning and delivering instruction that integrates biblical truths, fostering a love for learning and for God, and collaborating with parents and staff to support the holistic development of every student. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans that align with both academic standards and biblical principles. Create an inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse learning needs of students, including those with unique learning differences. Incorporate Christian worldview teaching into daily instruction and classroom culture. Utilize various instructional strategies, including hands-on learning, technology integration to enhance student engagement. Regularly assess student learning and spiritual growth, adjusting instruction as needed to support each child’s development. Provide tutoring or additional academic support when necessary. Communicate consistently with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and spiritual development. Participate actively in school community life, including chapel services, devotions, and school-wide events. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field. Experience teaching in a Christian school setting or church ministry is preferred. Strong knowledge of early childhood education and literacy development. Ability to integrate faith and learning naturally and effectively. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to modeling a Christlike life. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A heart for ministry and a desire to disciple young students in their faith journey.
