The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and growth. This role involves teaching foundational subjects, implementing curriculum, and supporting the diverse needs of students in a nurturing classroom setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to various learning styles. Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student interaction. Provide individualized tutoring and support to students who require additional assistance. Incorporate Montessori methods and principles into teaching practices to promote independent learning. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary to meet the needs of all learners, including those with autism or other developmental challenges. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters positive behavior management and encourages social-emotional development. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support early intervention strategies for students needing additional help. Participate in curriculum development initiatives to ensure that educational programs are relevant and effective. Maintain library services within the classroom to promote literacy and a love for reading among students. Experience A degree in Elementary Education or a related field is required. Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred, particularly in early childhood development. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies for working with diverse learners is essential. Knowledge of math instruction methodologies is a plus. Previous experience in tutoring or providing specialized support to students is highly valued.
