Job Summary:
Create a positive, engaging learning environment for young students. Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with standards, monitor student progress, and collaborate with families and staff to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and teach standards-based lesson
Use Science of Reading strategies for literacy instruction
Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Build a safe, respectful, and organized classroom
Communicate regularly with families
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Refer students to support services (ESL, Special Education, G/T, etc.)
Participate in curriculum planning and school initiatives
Additional Expectations:
Follow district policies and state guidelines
Maintain accurate records and reports
Attend meetings and serve on committees as needed
Support district goals and student safety
