Teacher, 5th Grade St. Patrick Interparish School 550 NE 16th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32609 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the academic and personal growth of students. This role requires creativity, patience, and an understanding of diverse learning needs, including experience with childhood development and behavior management. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles. Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Provide individualized tutoring and support to students as needed. Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development. Incorporate Montessori principles into the curriculum where appropriate. Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine curriculum development initiatives. Support students with autism through tailored teaching strategies and early intervention techniques. Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere. Organize library services and resources to support literacy and research skills among students. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Experience A Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Experience in elementary education and working with children is highly desirable. Familiarity with curriculum development practices and educational standards. Proficiency in utilizing technology for educational purposes. Previous experience in tutoring or providing individualized instruction is a plus. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and early intervention strategies.
