Teacher. Mims Elementary 2582 US Highway 1, Mims, FL 32754
Responsibilities:
- Must be certified in K-6 Elementary Education and ESE certified.
- Maintain gradebook and progress reports as needed
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide instruction to students in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development
- Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students with developmental disabilities or special education requirements
- Provide additional support to students who need extra help
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Experience working with students with developmental disabilities or special education needs
- Proficiency in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues
