South Florida Montessori Academy (SFMA) is one of the few AMI-recognized schools in South Florida, proudly serving families since 2011. We are part of a small, family-owned network of Montessori schools committed to authentic Montessori education and a supportive, collaborative environment for educators. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Primary Guide to lead a Children’s House classroom for the 2025-2026 academic year, starting August 2025. Responsibilities Lead a Montessori Primary (3-6 years old) classroom using Montessori pedagogy Prepare and maintain an orderly, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Present individual and small group lessons across the Montessori curriculum Observe and record each child’s progress and development Foster independence, concentration, and love of learning Collaborate with classroom assistants and school leadership Communicate regularly with families and participate in school events Qualifications Montessori Primary Diploma from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) or American Montessori Society (AMS) Bachelor’s degree Strong classroom management and communication skills Eligible to work in the U.S. and meet state/local licensing requirements Prior Montessori classroom experience preferred (but graduating Montessorians are welcome to apply!) Compensation Compensation will be determined based on certifications, years of Montessori teaching experience, and overall background.
