The successful candidate will have experience working with young children, enjoy seeing their progress and have a passion for education.
Responsibilities:
Share your knowledge with students. Ensure that the students make progress. Ensure that the students are safe. Assign tasks to students effectively. Assess the performance of students.
Responsibilities :
Report to work by 7:00 am, Mon-Fri, and leave after 4:00 pm Create and implement curriculum Plan and execute lessons Classroom management (15-20 students) Log and print lesson plans for administration weekly Advise parents of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student’s achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment. Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Create a classroom environment that fosters growth and learning Maintain records of student work and development Create progress reports and report cards Collaborate with tutors/specials teachers/title one Attend and contribute to IEP and 504 meetings Differentiate instruction based on IEP or student level Monitor students in a variety of educational environments (e.g. classroom, cafeteria, playground, schoolgrounds, hallways, restrooms, field trips, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Handle social/emotional issues as they arise Proctor state testing as needed Complete recommendations for future school assignments Keep attendance records Procure materials for the classroom Attend staff meetings Report incidents (e.g. fights, suspected child abuse, suspected substance abuse, harassment, zero toleranceoffenses etc.) for the purpose of maintaining personal safety of students, providing a positive learning environment and adhering to state law.
