MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF A BACHELORS DEGREE AND A FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (in Early Childhood Education preferred), State Certification or Statement of Eligibility preferred,
Computer Skills:
Google Suite, MS Office Suite and Renweb. 40 hours DCF Training.
MUST BE ABLE TO CLEAR A LEVEL 2 BACKGROUND CHECK FUNCTION
Plan, implement, and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with St. Mark’s mission and philosophy.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and update age specific curriculum map to ensure all required subject matter is covered during the school year.
- Develop weekly lesson plans based on required components as well as individual class needs.
- Ensure the safety and security of Preschool children.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management and developing student behavior modification techniques.
- Maintain effective and timely two-way communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, performance, and areas of concern, and schedule parent conferences as required.
- Incorporate interactive technology into the classroom as available and needed.
- Conduct formal and informal group and individual diagnostic assessments in the areas of reading and math and develop reading incentives for each class.
- Teach and ensure proper hygiene of Preschool children.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and supervise student in house field trips.
- Accompany students to enrichment activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to learn and utilize tools and techniques that improve classroom effectiveness.
- Support recruitment and re-enrollment efforts.
