Full Job Description Job Summary :
Progress Village Christian Academy is currently seeking an experienced educator who shares our vision and mission on educating the whole child through a nurturing environment in which will provide academic success and spiritual growth. If you are a compassionate and self-motivated individual with a specific interest in education, we urge you to apply! The successful candidate must enjoy working with children and be devoted to building a nurturing and safe learning environment. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of classroom activities and teaching methods. The candidate shall have the following:
- Degree from an accredited postsecondary institution
- Experience in teaching elementary
- Experience utilizing Christian School curriculum
- Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy, having a basic proficiency in doing word processing, creating and using a spreadsheet, e-mailing, and accessing the Internet and websites.
Knowledge of grading, lesson planning and attendance software preferred.
