Grade Teacher:

This position is for the 25-26 instructional calendar and starts July 30, 2025. We are seeking a 3rd-5th grade teacher for the upcoming instructional year, with a class size of no more than 12 students. Our teachers are hands on and holistic-meaning we need you to bring all of your hands on activities, science experiments, fun videos, and maybe some fun dances too! We use real books and no electronic devices. The ideal candidate must be able to differentiate instruction and may have yet to be identifed learning disorder and/or level 3 autism ( no major behavioral issues or 1:1) . Certification not required but we do require a minimum of 2 years experience teaching and a bachelor’s degree. We will not respond if you do not meet the minimum qualifications. Additionally, we are a faith based (religious) Christian non profit organization and school. We pray with our students daily and incorporate our Christian faith in all that we do. Minimum Requirements:

Baccalaureate Degree (BA or BS) or higher and 2 years experience teaching in a public or private school in elementary school, preferrably 3rd-5th grade. Must have experience working with students diagnosed with learning disabilities, ADHD and/ or high functioning autism. Must pass a Level 2 Background screening & any of DOE requirements to be eligible for this position (this is not an offer of employment). This is an at will position.

Duties are as follows:

Plan, prepare and deliver hands on, holistic lesson plans as per company standards. Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures. Must arrive on time (no later than 8am or as instructed) or text to assigned number by no later than 7am. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. Manage student behavior in the classroom, ask for assistance as needed. Maintain discipline per our company policies. Ensure that “all in one” reports are written up for students for incidents and accidents, as per company policy. Provide appropriate feedback on work. Encourages and monitors the progress of individual students and uses information to adjust teaching strategies. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. Update all necessary records accurately and completely. Prepares required reports on students and activities. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress & needs as per our company policy. Establishes and communicates clear objectives for all learning activities. Prepares classroom for class activities. Provides a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities. Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development. Assigns/grades class work, homework, tests, and assignments and enters grades into HARTS by the end of each week. Demonstrates preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds. Ensures that all communication with parents is directed by administration or in cooperation with administration. If an emergency call (pertaining to your immediate family) needs to be made or received, admin must be made aware and coverage for your class must be requested. Participate in appropriate professional activities. Follow all employee policies and procedures are followed per the OASN company handbook. Enforces our policies and procedures as found in the parent/student handbook. Classroom & bathroom (if applicable-ask if you have questions) must be cleaned and is tidy by the end of each instructional or work day. This should be accomplished by teaching students to clean as part of our life skills whenever possible. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
