Job Summary The Primary & Lower School at Gulliver Prep is seeking to hire a full-time Floating Faculty for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. A Floating Faculty is a teacher who leads a classroom of students and continues the curriculum and learning when colleagues are absent from school for a day or over multiple days. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of the social-emotional development of primary and lower school children, ages 3-10, and knowledge of standards across subject areas. Preference is given to candidates who have experience with Responsive Classroom, Science of Reading, Bridges and Reveal Math and teaching in a 1:1 technology environment. Candidates should possess flexibility, positivity, a can-do attitude and growth mindset, strong communication skills, and be highly collaborative. A demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and professional development is expected. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Early Elementary or Elementary Education. At least two years of teaching experience at the elementary level. Desired Qualifications Effective classroom management skills. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Pre-Employment Requirements Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s) and Drug Screen.
