The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students in grades K-5. This role involves developing lesson plans, implementing engaging teaching strategies, and fostering a love for learning among young children. The Elementary School Teacher will work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community to support the educational growth of each student. Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students. Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and engage students in interactive learning experiences. Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods to inform instruction and provide feedback. Mentor students to promote their academic, social, and emotional development. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment. Foster relationships with students, encouraging their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop interdisciplinary projects. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and classroom activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field. DCF – 40-hour daycare training Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. Strong understanding of childhood development principles. Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies. Excellent proofreading skills for preparing instructional materials. Ability to utilize various learning technologies effectively in the classroom. Strong behavior management skills to maintain an effective learning environment. Commitment to mentoring students and supporting their individual needs.
