Resource Teacher St. Andrew Catholic School 877 North Hastings Street, Orlando, FL 32808 Description St. Andrew Catholic School is seeking a Resource Teacher that is Florida Certified with
ESE & ESOL.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. SACS is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and age-appropriate standard-based instruction. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities, a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the St. Andrew’s mission.
Responsibilities:
Works with administrators and instructional teams to plan and implement hands-on programs and activities for students and the school. Participates as an active member with other faculty and staff. Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards; Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines; Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons for early childhood and or elementary grade levels; Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of St. Andrew Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church; Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management; Assess and document student progress; Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students; Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner; Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities; Integrate technology effectively into the classroom. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an Accredited College or University; Current Florida Teaching Certificate; Teaching experience preferred; Previous experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred.
