Full Job Description Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
• Provide instruction to students in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
• Use effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs, including those with autism
• Utilize library services and resources to enhance student learning
• Provide tutoring or additional support to students who require it
• Manage student behavior in the classroom and enforce school policies
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to address student needs and communicate progress _Be a model of the Catholic Faith for all our students.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment
• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Proficiency in educational technology tools and resources
• Familiarity with early intervention strategies for identifying and addressing learning challenges
