Part-Time 1st Grade Teacher (Contractor) Generations Christian Homeschool Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 Part-Time 1st Grade Teacher (Contractor) Generation Christian Homeschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time contractor to join our team as a 1st Grade Teacher. Rooted in Christian values, our homeschool provides a nurturing and academically enriching environment where students can grow in their faith and knowledge. Position Overview:

The Part-Time 1st Grade Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction to our first-grade students within a homeschool setting. This individual will create a positive and Christ-centered learning environment that fosters academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love for learning. This is a contract position with workdays on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. As a contractor, the individual will be responsible for paying their taxes.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the homeschool’s curriculum and best practices in elementary education. Create a learning environment that is conducive to learning, is well-organized, and reflects Christian values within the homeschool setting. Deliver instruction in all core subject areas, including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, integrating a Christian worldview. Assess student progress through observation, formative assessments, and summative evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback. Manage student behavior effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere consistent with the homeschool’s philosophy. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and learning activities. Collaborate with other educators or administrators within the homeschool community to support the overall mission and goals. Participate in professional development opportunities as needed. Supervise students during learning activities and transitions. Integrate biblical principles and Christian teachings into daily lessons and interactions. Maintain accurate records of student progress. Adhere to all homeschool policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field is required. 1 to 2 years of experience teaching in an elementary school or homeschool setting is required. A strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies for first-grade students. Demonstrated ability to create engaging and differentiated lessons. Excellent guidance and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and parents. A personal commitment to the Christian faith and a passion for Christian education within a homeschool environment. Ability to integrate biblical principles into all aspects of teaching. Must be able to pass a background check and meet all homeschool requirements.
