Full-Time, 10-month position School Mission Dreamers Academy develops bilingual , biliterate , and cross-cultural leaders of character within a caring environment that encourages family engagement and celebrates America.
Position Description:
English / Spanish Dual Language Teachers follow a 50/50 immersion model and provide core instruction in content areas to two homeroom classes on alternating days providing instruction entirely in the language of instruction while their counterpart provides instruction in the other language of instruction.
Responsibilities:
English / Spanish Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. Plan daily academic, differentiated lessons and implement specific strategies to meet the language acquisition needs of all students. Working knowledge of Florida’s Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking State (BEST) Standards, academic performance relative to Literacy and Mathematics. Benchmark Advance and Adelante curriculum, grade level benchmarks and expectations. Reveal Math curriculum, grade level expectations Use technology to create personalized and blended learning experiences. Be accountable for students’ academic growth and achievement. Design and implement summative assessments to measure progress towards academic standards and formative assessments to drive instruction. Use assessment data to inform curricular and instructional practices. Create a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment following our character education program and responsive classroom strategies like morning meetings. Reflect on successes and areas of growth as a teacher, seek to improve performance, and respond to feedback. Participate in curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions. Collaborate with others in daily/weekly meetings including grade level team members, instructional support staff, and administration. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their children’s academic success. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Fluency in Spanish and English.
