This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports each child’s developmental needs while fostering a safe, healthy, and creative learning environment. Teachers must be reliable, proactive, and able to manage time-sensitive documentation and compliance tasks to maintain the school’s spirit of excellence. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and emphasizes STEM curriculum. Participate in periodic professional development training and teacher planning days. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build positive relationships and promote a strong school community. Monitor children’s progress and behavior, sharing developmental updates and insights with families. Plan and facilitate activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring classroom space that reflects children’s learning and creativity. Complete and maintain required documentation in a timely manner , including daily reports, incident logs, developmental assessments, and lesson plans. Complete classroom observations and internal audits to uphold the school’s high standards. Collaborate with fellow educators to share ideas, enhance curriculum, and continuously improve teaching practices. Qualifications Ability to successfully pass a DCF background screening and VECHS screening Completion of the 45-hour DCF State Training requirement (mandatory). Preferably some college experience. Ability to create appropriate grade-level lesson plans, manage time-sensitive tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet regulatory deadlines in alignment with state and national accreditation requirements. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Enthusiastic, patient, and creative individuals who are committed to supporting young children’s growth and development. Strong organizational and planning skills with a commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
