- Instructional design and implementation; candidate demonstrates ability to differentiate instruction for diverse student needs without relying on worksheets and secondary texts.
- Maintains organized, well-planned, and thoroughly researched lesson plans that reach all learners. Clearly plans for and implements projects, problem-based learning opportunities , instructional technology, and incorporates resources from a variety of viewpoints and experts.
- Assesses students with appropriate measures, including performance assessments, process assessments, narratives, and rubrics .
- Maintains a safe, secure, interactive, respectful, and healthy educational environment ; follows, establishes, and enforces school standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements.
- Interacts positively with parents, students, other faculty, resource staff, and partners in education while establishing consistent and ongoing communication processes.
- Fosters collaborative environment in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the school.
