Kindergarten Teacher (25-26) 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 186 Hunter Street, Norcross, GA 30071 2025-2026 School Year Primary Responsibility The kindergarten teacher will ensure student proficiency in all subject areas following BIA Charter School’s selected curriculum. Teachers collaborate with their colleagues to develop personalized lesson plans and projects using the Project-Based Learning format. The teacher is accountable for academic and emotional growth and communicating effectively with parents, students, and school leadership. This position report to the Associate Head of School. Effective classroom instruction Ensure mastery of kindergarten content in all subjects with a diverse elementary school student population using a personalized learning approach Engage in the development and delivery of instruction through the Project-Based Learning approach Provide instruction and coaching for students as they move towards proficiency in the 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, such as collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking and communication Create rigorous and engaging instructional plans and prepare materials and classrooms for instructional activities Employ a variety of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment strategies and instruments including the i -Ready benchmark assessments Systematically gather, analyze, and use relevant data to measure student progress, to inform instructional content and delivery methods, and to provide timely and constructive feedback to both students & parents Engage in academic and behavioral goal setting process with students Make lessons, projects and grading transparent to students and parents Creative a positive classroom climate and support a school culture that celebrates diversity, innovation, and caring Create and implement behavior and academic intervention plans when necessary Supervise and mentor the kindergarten paraprofessional to ensure collaborative support it established Personal professional growth Participate in all school-sponsored professional development programs Reflect on teaching practices and seeking appropriate help and support from the leadership team and colleagues Work with colleagues on Collaborative Learning Teams (CLTs) to improve student achievement by sharing assessment data and planning Support paraprofessionals, practicum students, and any other team members in their professional growth especially with regards to supporting all members of the team to deliver high-quality instruction through Blended learning and Project Based Learning. Mentor new or established teachers as needed Work with Family Stakeholders Proactively communicate with and seek input from family and/or guardians.
