Kindergarten Teacher Position Available In East Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Kindergarten Teacher Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school is scheduled to open for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 – 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK – 8th at full capacity. Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, LA4 Kindergarten Teacher certified in Early Childhood. Additional certifications in ELL, Special Education, Reading Specialist, and Elementary Education is desirable. Two years+ experience teaching young children in a school setting is preferred. Familiarity with early childhood standards, Guided Reading, Writing Workshop, differentiated instruction and math centers is an asset. Interest in leading extracurricular activities is a plus.
