Tallo's Job Summary: Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy is seeking a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher for a position available in August 2025. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree, be LA4 Pre-Kindergarten Teacher certified in Early Childhood, and have at least two years of teaching experience with young children. Additional certifications in ELL, Special Education, Reading Specialist, and Elementary Education are desirable. Familiarity with early childhood standards, Guided Reading, Writing Workshop, differentiated instruction, and math centers is preferred, along with an interest in leading extracurricular activities. Trainings and workshops in the summer will be required.

Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 – 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK – 8th at full capacity. Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, LA4 Pre-Kindergarten Teacher certified in Early Childhood. Additional certifications in ELL, Special Education, Reading Specialist, and Elementary Education is desirable. Two (2)+ years experience teaching young children in a school setting is preferred. Familiarity with early childhood standards, Guided Reading, Writing Workshop, differentiated instruction and math centers is an asset. Interest in leading extracurricular activities is a plus.
