Elementary School Teacher Position Available In Jefferson, Louisiana

Elementary School Teacher Weatherford Academy Early Learning Center Westwego, LA 70094 We are currently recruiting for experienced Pre K teachers. Our teachers are responsible for executing the Creative Curriculum and guiding developmentally appropriate behaviors inside our classroom. Pre-K teachers instruct children under the age of five using creative methods such as art, music, and hands-on learning. Though much of the learning centers around play, the primary purpose of the educational program is to prepare students for kindergarten. Applicants need to have experience working with young children and knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices. Pre-K 4 Teachers create daily lesson plans that teach social skills and personal hygiene. as well as introducing colors, shapes, and numbers. They introduce reading and writing to their class and help with developing language skills. Teachers must earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Required to take and pass the Praxis exams
