The Aurora program uses an intimate setting to develop the academic, behavioral, emotional, and social skills of K-8 students. Learn more about the Aurora Program here. Our Aurora Teachers impact students’ lives by: Achieving significant improvement in the academic performance of students with exceptionalities Providing instruction in small and large groups Developing IEPs to promote students’ academic, physical, and social development Developing FBAs and BIPs as needed to address students’ behavioral and social needs Communicating with parents/guardians about student progress Quickly implementing feedback and goal-setting into lesson delivery Collaborating with teammates in grade-level and subject-level teams Participating in the life of the school, including student activities and events Using data to track student achievement and to constantly improve practice Participating in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings about student achievement After CPI training, implementing de-escalation techniques when working with students, as required Embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission, vision, and direction of the school Taking on other tasks as needed
