Job Description
Danvers Public Schools seeks a Kinergarten Teacher at Thorpe Elementary School
Reports To:
Thorpe School Principal
Role & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, covering subjects like reading, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Foster social and emotional growth by teaching interpersonal skills, empathy, and classroom routines.
Assess student progress through observations, portfolios, and formative assessments to tailor instruction to individual needs.
Maintain classroom management by establishing and enforcing rules that promote a safe and productive learning environment.
Communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student development and address any concerns.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development to enhance teaching practices.
