Elementary Math Teacher Holyoke Community Charter School – Holyoke, MA Holyoke, MA 01040 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for students, encouraging their growth in literacy, critical thinking, and social skills. This role requires a commitment to implementing innovative teaching methods and utilizing learning technology to enhance the educational experience for young learners. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Utilize various teaching strategies, including Montessori methods, to promote active learning and student participation. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices in literacy education and childhood development. Maintain open communication with parents regarding student performance, classroom activities, and any concerns. Organize library services and resources to encourage reading and research skills among students. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and technologies. Experience A degree in Education or a related field is required; certification in elementary education is preferred. Experience working in a private school setting is a plus. Familiarity with education administration processes will be beneficial. Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members. Strong proofreading skills for creating clear instructional materials and assessments. Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential for understanding student needs. Experience with learning technology tools that enhance classroom instruction is highly desirable.
