Elementary Teacher – Grade 4 Leicester Public Schools 174 Paxton Street, Leicester, MA 01524 The District is seeking a certified (Massachusetts) classroom teacher for the Leicester Elementary School, which serves grade 4. The successful candidate will be an educator knowledgeable about effective, standards-based practices for elementary classrooms. Teach and instruct Grade 4 students: Develop lesson plans aligned with the Massachusetts Frameworks. Teach using various methodologies, including whole group, small group, and hands-on experiences. Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of pupils from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds who possess a range of mental and emotional maturity. Provide group and individual instruction to motivate pupils and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities. Administer, score, record and report the results of assessments that evaluate student growth and progress. Counsel, confer with, and communicate with parents and school/district personnel regarding pupil progress. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to school improvement efforts.
