Position Summary:
The Elementary Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a standards-based curriculum to ensure the academic, social, and emotional development of students in grades K-5. This position requires a strong understanding of child development, differentiated instruction, and a commitment to fostering a positive classroom environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Use data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and collaborative planning. Monitor and report student progress through report cards, conferences, and other communication methods. Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies. Support school initiatives, including MTSS and other instructional frameworks.
Qualifications:
