Primary School Instructor Community School of Digital and Visual Arts 1955 West Cornwallis Road, Durham, NC 27705 Community School of Digital and Visual Arts, a reputable and innovative educational institution, seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic K-5 Elementary School Teacher to join our team. We seek a passionate educator who can inspire and engage students, helping them build a strong academic foundation for lifelong success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and state standards Create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth Utilize various teaching methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting instruction as needed Foster strong parent-teacher relationships through effective communication and collaboration Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports Uphold and enforce school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field Valid state teaching license/certification for K-5 or Elementary Education Minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience (preferred, but not required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic teaching environment Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction
