This teacher will help students build essential 21st-century skills—from keyboarding and coding to digital citizenship and creative design—using age-appropriate tools and platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging weekly technology lessons for K-5 students Teach foundational tech skills including typing, basic coding, multimedia creation, and internet safety Integrate technology instruction with core subjects when appropriate Promote responsible digital citizenship in alignment with schoolwide expectations Manage and maintain classroom devices and digital tools in coordination with IT staff Provide occasional support to teachers for integrating technology into classroom learning Stay up to date with edtech trends and recommend tools that enhance student learning Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or related field Valid teaching license or relevant experience in educational technology Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students Strong classroom management and communication skills Familiarity with platforms such as Google Workspace for Education, Scratch, Seesaw, or Nearpod Passion for digital learning, creativity, and student empowerment Preferred Experience Training in STEM or coding for elementary learners (e.g., Code.org, LEGO Robotics, Tynker) Experience leading technology clubs or project-based tech units Understanding of digital equity and accessibility practices
