Pine Street School is hiring for the 2025-2026 school year! Starting August 1, 2025 We are looking for elementary teachers who are eager to learn about and implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program! Our school welcomes people ready to learn, contribute and collaborate together in order to co-create a curriculum that is significant, relevant, engaging and challenging. HOW YOU WILL SUPPORT PINE STREET SCHOOL STUDENTS

Plan and employ appropriate, trans-disciplinary learning experiences for individual, small and whole group instruction using various teaching methods appropriate for language immersion settings Collaborate with colleagues to develop the school’s ethos and support relationships amongst students of all ages Guide and support parents through the rich and complex experience of the curriculum, helping them learn what their children are capable of and how they can best support them in our program Actively utilize New York City as a resource for learning and involve your students in sustainable community service projects and experiences Maximize student language learning by utilizing the target language consistently in the classroom and collaborate with other language team members to develop and improve our language practices Implement technology as tool that empowers learners to broaden the expression of an idea, innovate, solve a problem, learn something new, verify information, and communicate and collaborate with others Work with students individually and in groups, by selecting and employing various teaching methods appropriate for language immersion settings. Take responsibility for preparing materials and classrooms for activities, including photocopying, laminating, etc.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in subject area(s), Master’s degree is highly desired

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years elementary teaching experience Expereince with the IB PYP strongly preferred A valid teaching certification (or equivalent) for Elementary Education Fluent proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) Strong experience with Apple technology implementation
