Upper Elementary Guide The Montessori School of Columbia Columbia, SC 29205 Job description The Montessori School of Columbia (MSC) is seeking an Upper Elementary Guide to join our community in the 2025-2026 school year, beginning July 1, 2025. This position is for a co-teacher or teaching assistant in our Upper Elementary Classroom. MSC is a dual-accredited, authentic Montessori independent school, serving children ages 3 – 12 years-old. The school is located on a beautiful three-acre campus in the Rosewood neighborhood of Columbia, SC. Our community is dedicated, supportive, and respectful, and we are excited to add a committed Montessorian to our team. Responsibilities This position is approximately 40 hours a week throughout the school year (August-May). School hours are between 7:15am and 3:30pm, M-F. The Upper Elementary Guide will be responsible for supporting the Elementary curriculum, participating in parent education and conferences, attending school engagements, and record/data management. Qualifications Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree at minimum and have previous experience in a Montessori Classroom (Elementary/ first through sixth grades preferred). Candidates must successfully complete background checks and provide all necessary documents for school employment. Candidates holding credentials through AMS or AMI will be prioritized. The ideal candidate will be organized and reliable while maintaining a collaborative work environment and excellent communication skills.
