Lower School Principal Purpose :
Mt. Juliet Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd grade teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment delivering engaging lessons across various subjects like math, science, reading, writing, and social studies. Fostering their academic, social, spiritual, and emotional development by providing individualized instruction, managing classroom behavior, communicating regularly with parents and preparing students for standardized tests while adhering to state curriculum and accreditation standards. Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education Previous teaching experience, preferably in an elementary school. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and a commitment to the school’s mission and values. Proficiency in educational technology and tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to a dynamic academic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons that align with MJCA’s curriculum and high educational standards. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, respect, and active participation. Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Collaborate with the Lower School Principal to design and revise curriculum materials to meet the academic needs of the students. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities among students. Offer additional help and support to students who may be struggling in a particular subject. Maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child’s progress and any concerns. Stay up to date with the latest educational trends and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by enforcing school policies and procedures.
