Mechanical Engineering Qualifications Required:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field from accredited programs with 18 hours of graduate level coursework in the previous-mentioned disciplines.
Demonstrated experience teaching courses in Machining, CNC programming, Robotics, vibration analysis, Engines, HVAC, energy conservation, etc.
Experience with programming and controlling industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, or KUKA).
Practical experience in machining, CNC programming, engine transmission, and energy conservation.
Ability to teach both theoretical concepts and hands-on applications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to student success and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Desired:
Terminal Degree Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or closely related field from accredited programs; ABDs considered.
Demonstrated effectiveness in applying technology and hands-on learning to teaching.
Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in higher education.
Minimum of three or more years of professional field experience in the discipline. Position Description Teach on-campus and/or online courses for the Division of Engineering Technology.
Fulfill other faculty responsibilities, including student advisement and creative projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chairperson or Dean.
