ELA English Language Teacher

Dahlia Drive, Orlando, FL 32807 The candidate applying for this job must have upper level (8th grade-12th) teaching experience, a four year college degree and be willing to teach in person. Azalea Park Baptist School implements a hybrid program; although students lean in person. The candidate must be willing to teach using multiple digital platforms. Training for the use of these platforms is provided. It is also essential for the candidate to be spiritually mature and willing to support our emphasis on student empathy and moral values. It is a non negotiable for the hired candidate to become active with the sponsoring church APC AzaleaParkChurch.org. In doing so the sponsoring church ensures that our students learn from Christ centered Educators. Other general responsibilities
- Create lesson plans and teach those plans to the entire class, individually to students or in small groups,
- Track student progress and present the information to parents
- Create tests and reinforce classroom rules
- Work with school administration prepare students for the SAT standardized test
- Manage class behavior.
- Monitor students at all times to ensure safety
- All lessons must have an objective, title, introduction, activity or body, practice (individual or in group work), a conclusion or review of what was taught and a homework daily.
- Prepare the board with an agenda that includes all the parts named above
- Input all lesson plans in Gradelink by Monday of each week
- Test/quiz children weekly (as required by A Beka/LifePac/BJU curriculums)
