ENGLISH TEACHER
Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School District 240 Sykes Street, Palmer, MA 01080
Position:
Teacher of English Language Arts with a probable schedule consisting of classes in English for 11th and 12th grade students. Pathfinder Tech is a four-year regional vocational technical high school with an enrollment of approximately 650 students in sixteen technical programs.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be appropriately licensed as established by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education. The preferred candidate holds a valid DESE Moderate Disabilities license as established by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education. Undergraduate preparation in English. Master’s degree preferred.
Performance Responsibilities:
Teach classes in accordance with state frameworks and approved curriculum. Plan and deliver well-structured lessons as stated in the Massachusetts Teacher Evaluation Rubric Collaborate with colleagues to prepare and deliver well-structured units of instruction. Provide assistance, support, and specialized instruction to students in classes as needed. Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students. Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
The salary will be in accordance with the provisions of the approved Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School salary schedule.
