Job Purpose:

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher provides direct specialized instruction and teacher consultation for the purposes of developing the English language proficiency of students eligible for English Learner services per the State of Michigan The ESL Teacher works directly with the District English Learner Coordinator in the provision of programs and services to ensure compliance with federal and state laws The Building Behavior Interventionist is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and implementing/arranging for supplemental intervention services to address the needs of students

Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education; Master’s Degree preferred
A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an endorsement or approval in English as a Second Language K-12; or eligible for permit After reviewing the qualifications and responsibilities of the available position, interested candidates must complete the on-line application and attach a cover letter and resume
