Position Summary:

Clover Garden School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a love of reading and writing, build students’ literacy and critical thinking skills, and contribute positively to our school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with North Carolina ELA standards for grades 6-8. Teach reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening with a focus on critical analysis and communication. Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support diverse learning styles and academic levels. Create a supportive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation and growth. Integrate technology to enhance instruction and student engagement. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as needed. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student success. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide events. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Clover Garden School in all professional endeavors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (required). Valid North Carolina teaching license in Middle Grades English Language Arts or eligibility to obtain one. Experience teaching middle school ELA (preferred). Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Dedication to continuous learning and student-centered teaching.
