Job Summary:
Carter G. Woodson School is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering academic growth, character development, and student engagement in a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lessons in English Language Arts, aligned with NC state standards. Utilize differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with exceptional needs. Create a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes academic success and personal growth. Incorporate data-driven instruction to monitor and support student achievement. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong school partnerships. Assess students’ progress and provide feedback to support their academic growth. Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities starting on August 1, 2025.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. NC teaching license is highly recommended, but not required. Experience in effective classroom management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students. Written and spoken proficiency in the English language.
