English Language Arts Instructor for Grade 7 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 9 Townsend West, Nashua, NH 03063 The Academy for Science and Design (ASD), New Hampshire’s award winning STEM-focused public charter school, is seeking a full-time seventh grade English teacher. This person will be responsible for teaching world literature, grammar, vocabulary, and writing. Under direction of the Dean of Humanities Faculty, and in collaboration with other English teachers, this position will design creative and engaging lessons, units, projects, and classroom activities to develop analytical reading, refined and diverse writing skills, critical thinking, and poised speaking skills. Ideal candidates will have English 5-12 certification, or K-8 certification with English designation, and middle school teaching experience. The best candidates will also have a passion for literature, a disciplined and rigorous approach to writing, and a gift for relating to middle schoolers. At the Academy for Science and Design, we believe in cultivating a strong sense of curiosity and inquiry in our students. As the Seventh Grade English Teacher, you will be an essential part of this mission, encouraging students to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and think creatively. You will also work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to integrate technology, interdisciplinary connections, and real-world applications into your teaching. • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in English or a related field
• A valid teaching certification and/or relevant teaching experience is preferred
