Excellent writers who can guide students to use writing as an effective and useful tool of communication. Familiar with best practices and twenty-first century learning models. Willing to challenge the status quo in favor of having students produce academic content that is rigorous yet inventive. Willing to have students take risks in their own journeys of learning that allow for growth above and beyond the average. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational strategies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding academic performance and needs. Mentor students in literacy and critical thinking skills.
