NJ Teacher of English Certification or Elementary Certification with Middle School Language Arts Literacy Endorsement required Understanding of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Grades 6-8 ELA Understanding of standardized state assessments (NJSLA) Excellent written and oral communication skills, academic credentials, and references Experience in developing and implementing differentiated instructional lessons and learning activities in the English Language Arts classroom Experience with analyzing, interpreting, and utilizing achievement data to drive instruction and monitor student progress Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Knowledge of and experience with technology as it relates to instruction Middle School ELA teaching experience preferred Knowledge or experience with a unified reading/writing approach strongly preferred
