Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment. Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to evaluate student progress and understanding. Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents regarding academic performance. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and best practices in literacy education. Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is highly desirable. Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus. Strong skills in copy editing, research, and adherence to the Chicago Manual Style for academic writing. Proven ability in classroom management and fostering an inclusive environment for all students. Experience in higher education teaching is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on literacy education.
