Description:
Teach a variety of classes in the English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Teaching ESL, and English as a Second Language program. This is for the Summer 2020.
Qualifications:
Required education: Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, linguistics, education, English, or other languages along with TESL courses Required experience:
- Two years of experience teaching English as a Second Language
- Ability to instruct diverse audiences
- Ability to effectively teach all areas of the English language
- Ability to teach education courses in the Louisiana ESL Endorsement series Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience teaching abroad
- Experience teaching higher education and graduate students
- Experience with oral proficiency using ACTFL or CEFR standards
- K-12 experience in the USA
- Teacher certification
- Ph.
D. in closely related area
