About Quinsigamond Community College:
QCC was established in 1963 to provide access to higher education to residents of Central Massachusetts. Since the early 60s, enrollment has grown from 300 to over 13,000 full and part-time day and evening students served. QCC offers over 120 associate degree and certificate career options in Business, Health Care, Technology, Liberal Arts, and Human Services. Additionally, over 137 credit and 300 noncredit courses are offered online, as well as a wide variety of classroom non-credit courses, workshops, and seminars. Classes are provided on the main campus, in downtown Worcester (Healthcare, Workforce Development, Continuing Education), at the Worcester Senior Center (Hospitality & Recreation Management), at Burncoat High School (Automotive Technology), and in the city of Southbridge.
Job Description:
Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area (i.e., Southbridge and area high schools). Courses may be assigned for days or evenings and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students. Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Requires a Masters’ degree in English. Interested applicants who may not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.
Preferred Qualifications (1) Advanced degree;
(2) Teaching/training experience;
(3) Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in the curriculum as appropriate
(4) Ability to teach day, evening or weekend classes in more than one campus location

Application Instructions:
Starting rate of pay is $1,397.00 per credit hour. Positions are MCCC Unit eligible.
