Thomas invites applications for a full-time faculty position in English Composition, effective Fall 2025. The successful candidate will serve as a writing specialist in the School of Arts & Sciences. This faculty member will oversee and primarily teach first-year writing courses within the General Education program. Teaching load may also include courses such as Advanced Writing and Editing, Technical Writing, Journalism, Introduction to Poetry, and British Literature, based on interest and program needs. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric or a closely related field, or who have made substantial progress toward the degree by the time of appointment. Applicants should provide evidence of effective, engaging teaching that supports and motivates students; demonstrated experience in composition assessment; and a commitment to integrating digital technology into classroom instruction.
