Continuous Job Details Visiting Faculty English The English Department at Coastal Carolina University seeks applicants for a one-year appointment at the rank of Visiting Faculty beginning in Fall of 2025. We seek a candidate with a breadth of teaching experience, an investment in student success, and a sustained engagement with pedagogical approaches central to the field of composition. Teaching responsibilities will be in first-year composition. Teaching assignments may include evening and distance-learning courses. The successful candidate will ideally hold an MA (18 hours of graduate course work) in English, (PhD preferred) or a related field (including but not limited to rhetoric and composition, new media composition, professional communication, or creative writing). Successful candidates will have training and expertise in first-year composition, and will have at least three years of college-level teaching experience. The teaching load will be 30 credits per year (fall and spring).
